Woodstock, Ont., Sept. 13, 2022 – Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, Eastern Canada’s largest outdoor farm show, welcomed visitors this morning at 8:30 a.m. at Discovery Farm Woodstock for three full days of action-packed equipment demonstrations, the latest in agriculture technology and more.

“When the gates opened this morning, the enthusiasm from visitors and exhibitors was felt throughout the site,” says Doug Wagner, president of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show. “We know farmers value seeing equipment up close and in action while having the chance to explore what’s new in agriculture. We look forward to welcoming many more farmers over the next few days to experience the excitement of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show for themselves.”

The 100+ acre farm show on September 13, 14 and 15 has been showcasing the newest technology and innovations from leading agriculture companies for nearly 30 years. Highlights for visitors include the opportunity to see equipment working in the field, test-drive machinery, see new products and witness the latest in AgTech.

Features of the show this year include:

  • Equipment Demonstrations: field demonstrations from over 20 companies, a skid steer Ride & Drive, drone demonstrations and straw chopper demonstrations.
  • Exhibitor-led Demonstrations: first-time and returning exhibitors feature the latest in combine settings, strip tillage, a new helicopter spraying demo and an exclusive showcase on how robotics are evolving agriculture.
  • Crop Plot Displays: fifteen companies showcase a variety of seed, fertilizers and plant health protection products.
  • Livestock Central: featuring the latest in the dairy, beef, goat and sheep industries all in one place, along with a variety of livestock handling equipment and pasture demonstrations.
  • Special Events: new this year is the AgTech Breakfast designed to connect AgTech startups and farmers; and returning this year is the popular VIP Dairy Producer Brunch for dairy producers to share a meal and network.

Last night on September 12, the evening program included the Official Opening Ceremony of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show and the Innovations Program, presented by Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA).
