Woodstock, ON., March 3, 2021 – Farmers looking for practical planting tips and other options for success for spring will find it at the first Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show digital event on Wednesday, March 10.

In 2021, Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show will produce six themed digital event days on topics around planting, growing, research, livestock, harvest and innovation. Speakers at the March 10 digital event day will discuss topics on the theme Planting Kick Off – Profiting Through Incremental Gains.

Two keynote speakers will discuss detailed ways to maximize profits through small changes, plus explore the broader topic of new developments in autonomous ag equipment.

  • The Planter Feeds the Combine presentation features Shawn Livingston, Eastern Canada Regional Manager for Precision Planting, sharing valuable tips on setting up your planter for the greatest potential yield.
  • The Next Generation of Autonomous Ag presentation features machinery writer Scott Garvey leading a discussion with representatives from John Deere and AGCO about the latest developments in robotics and self-driving equipment for the agricultural sector.

“We’re happy we can bring farmers the information they need at times when they are making crucial decisions on the farm,” says Lynda Tityk, Executive Vice-President of Glacier FarmMedia. “We think our year-long digital events will equip producers with timely and relevant sessions to help them right now, and in the future.”

Tityk notes that registration for Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show comprises of a free ‘digital pass’ that has farmers register once to give them access to a year’s worth of key information. When it’s convenient for them, farmers can attend digital event days in different months, and review the information on the platform plus see new on-demand content until December 31, 2021.

Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show will be hosted on the same interactive online platform used for the show last year. Tityk says a great new feature for farmers is the virtual Coffee Shop that will provide an informal way to connect on digital event days. Farmers, speakers and industry reps can gather at small virtual tables in the Coffee Shop to catch up and ask each other questions through video chat. Moving tables is done through a mouse-click.

Farmers will also have the opportunity to visit virtual sponsor booths to chat with industry reps, review information and take advantage of exclusive special show offers.

Registration for the Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show Digital Pass is available through the website. For more information on the March 10 digital event and other planned Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show events in 2021, visit outdoorfarmshow.com.
