Woodstock, Ont., March 2, 2023 – Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show returns in 2023 in its 30th year on September 12-14 with demonstrations that give farmers a unique way to try out new equipment and get the latest news on AgTech for the farm.
“With the phenomenal success of being back in the field last year, farmers were pleased to see equipment in the field in the environment it’s built for,” says Carla Vipond, executive vice-president of Discovery Farm and spokesperson for Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show. “Through our post-event survey, farmers told us that they consider this a must-attend event to help them make decisions about what’s needed for their farm operation.”
Vipond notes that Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show is unique because it is held outdoors and allows for very large equipment and products. Located on the 330-acre Discovery Farm Woodstock site, the three-day show features over 700 hundred companies across 100 acres, plus additional acres for demonstrations with working equipment and live animals. Programs like the Skid Steer Ride & Drive give farmers the opportunity to drive the latest machinery at the show, plus live demonstrations for drones and autonomous equipment bring revolutionary technology up close.
“We hear over and over that decisions are made in the dirt, and farmers are hands-on people,” Vipond says. “At our show, you can spend a day watching seeding in action, look at dozens of crop plots side-by-side, and talk to a multitude of exhibitors with the latest full-sized equipment options and products at the show. That is incredibly valuable to stay on top of new ideas and advancements that are changing the face of agriculture.”
