See the latest autonomous equipment in action

Aug 21, 2023 | News

Woodstock, Ont., August 21, 2023When Haggerty AgRobotics Company, Ltd. presented their autonomous solutions at the 2022 Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, the interest from the media, industry and farmers was exceptional.

Robotics and driverless vehicles are always a draw, and Haggerty AgRobotics Company, a leader in the emerging agriculture robotics and automation industry, is sure to please the crowds at the farm show again this year.

Market forces driving opportunities for autonomous equipment are concerns over agriculture labour shortages and the evolution of automation technology that can mechanize tasks on the farm.

For several years, Chuck Baresich, Founder and President of Haggerty AgRobotics Company, has been researching and testing various technologies. Through collaborative relationships with leading agriculture technology companies, Haggerty is making these autonomous machines much more available for the eastern Canadian market.

Haggerty AgRobotics Company will be demonstrating autonomous equipment at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show again this year through the Evolution of Farming Demonstration: Autonomous Equipment in Action. The demonstrations take place on the West Demo Field, on Oxford Road #30 between the Middle Machinery and Lower Machinery Malls.

Here’s what visitors to Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show can look forward to from Haggerty AgRobotics Company this year

  • The FarmDroid, a solar-powered robot that seeds and weeds, running on a plot planted by the FarmDroid. During the demonstration, this equipment will be weeding the crop between the rows and around the plants.
  • The Naïo Orio electric weeding robot (for vegetables and industrial crops) and the Naïo Oz inter-row robot (with its RTK GPS guidance system that helps with weeding and hoeing chores) will also weed the crop.
  • The AgroIntelli Robotti robot with a 4-row planting unit mounted, plus potentially a strip till unit mounted.
  • The Nexus GOAT, a robot with mechanical fingers that can identify weeds and remove them by pulling them out.
  • The Korechi RoamIO with weed scanning system.
  • The Korechi RoamIO with autonomous soil sampling prototype system.

Haggerty AgRobotics Company representatives will be on-hand to discuss a variety of options for farmers wanting to look at robotics and precision agriculture equipment.
