Here’s what’s new and notable at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show Livestock Central this year.

Sheep Showcase

A new sheep area will bring everything sheep-focused into one spot with demonstrations, exhibits and a centralized sheep pasture. Here, you can attend sheep livestock handling and learning demonstrations, get information on body conditioning and TMR mixing, and more. Watch for highlights from Huber Ag Equipment Ltd., Ontario Sheep Farmers, and other exhibitors.

Cattle Handling Equipment Demonstrations

Effective and low-stress cattle handling is an important factor in keeping animals healthy and productive — and it’s important for the safety and well-being of livestock handlers, too. Cattle Handing Equipment Demonstrations, sponsored by Canadian Cattlemen, feature live animals, plus information from Davon Sales Inc., Brussels Agri Services Ltd. and Gallagher Animal Management.

Pasture Grazing Demonstration

Want to try to improve your pasture grazing, or simply have an interest in the latest in livestock grazing management? Visit the Pasture Grazing Demonstration, sponsored by Canadian Cattlemen, along North Mall, just north of 7th Lane. Join Gallagher Animal Management and Brussels Agri Services Ltd. for some insightful learning.

Peavey Mart Rural Pavilion

New to the farm show this year is the Peavey Mart Rural Pavilion for those who are looking for products for rural living. Located at Upper Machinery Mall between 7th and 8th Lanes, attendees can visit exhibitors selling rural living products – farm building construction, communications and security systems, garden products, solar products and more. A Peavey Mart booth inside the pavilion will also offer a small selection of retail products.

Dairy Innovation Centre

A must-see stop at the farm show for dairy-related products, the Dairy Innovation Centre at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show has always been a place where dairy producers get a glimpse into the latest dairy technology and have a chance to see innovation in action right on the show site.

VIP Dairy Producer Brunch

This Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show tradition returns with the 2023 invitation-only gathering of dairy producers at the VIP Dairy Producer Brunch. The brunch is a place where dairy producers can network, catch up with friends and business colleagues and enjoy a free brunch. The event takes place on Thursday, Sept. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the ADAMA Lounge and Dairy Innovation Centre. Dairy producers: watch for your invitation through your local dairy association or through one of the event sponsors: Grandview Concrete Grooving, Enogen Seeds by Syngenta, and more.
