Woodstock, Ont., Sept 8, 2022 – With live demonstrations and everything livestock together in one area, Livestock Central is a must-see destination for producers visiting Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show next week.

“It’s a star attraction of our show,” says Doug Wagner, president of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show. “This year there are many new features and exhibitors, and the live demonstrations are always a hit for those looking to find information on innovative products and technology at the show.”

One notable area of Livestock Central is the Dairy Innovation Centre, with a focus on products that highlight new trends in the dairy industry and animal comfort. The barn will have a small number of heifers, along with displays of innovative new products and leading-edge technology for dairy producers.

Other products from industry companies being showcased in the Dairy Innovation Centre include:

  • Customized feeding strategies from Shur-Gain/Trouw Nutrition.
  • An automated computing device to detect animal growth, illness indicators, activity and more from OneCup AI.
  • Mattress and flooring solutions from Promat and Bioret Agri.

Exhibits in Livestock Central featuring the latest innovations in the dairy, beef, goat and sheep industries give producers the opportunity to find out more about products like nutritional supplements, specialty feed, animal health, fencing and pasture supplies and more.

Additional highlights include the TD Dairy Producer Pavilion and the Grober Nutrition Livestock Pavilion with a wide variety of products and services available for livestock producers and their animals.

Producers can see a variety of live demonstrations for livestock handling equipment and pasture grazing options, including:

  • Cattle equipment handling demonstrations from Davon Sales Inc. featuring Hi-Hog Farm & Ranch equipment, Brussels Agri Services Ltd. featuring Arrowquip Equipment.
  • Sheep equipment handling demonstrations from Huber Ag Equipment Ltd. and Te Pari Products.
  • Rotational pasture grazing demonstration from Brussels Agri Serivces Ltd. and Gallagher.
  • Low stress cattle handling demonstration from Ontario Corn Fed Beef.

“The live demonstrations are important for producers to see first-hand how this technology and equipment can assist in their operations,” says Wagner. “Livestock Central is a completely unique part of the show that provides an exceptional opportunity to see products working in a real environment with live animals. You really won’t find another opportunity like it in Eastern Canada.”

Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show takes place September 13, 14 & 15 at Discovery Farm Woodstock and is Eastern Canada’s largest outdoor farm show. Tickets and a more detailed overview of what’s happening at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show can be found at outdoorfarmshow.com.
