Woodstock, Ont., Sept. 21, 2022 – Visitors to Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show on September 13, 14 and 15, 2022 helped the show make a successful in-person comeback for the first time since 2019. Over the course of the show, a total of 43,809 visitors were welcomed back to Discovery Farm Woodstock, home of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, to see the latest in ag innovation, equipment technology and more.

“The show was missed by many,” says Doug Wagner, president of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show. “This was a unique chance for farmers to see equipment in action, right in the field, and have in-person interactions once again. This level of attendance exceeded our expectations and demonstrates how important this show is to farmers and the businesses we partner with.”

An extensive lineup of companies shaping the future of agriculture spanned the 100+ acre show site. Never-before-seen technologies and the latest product developments were fan-favourites, with demonstrations featuring helicopter spraying, straw choppers, drone capabilities, skid steer test drives and more.

Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show also saw a large crowd throughout Livestock Central, which included the TD Dairy Producer Pavilion, the Grober Nutrition Livestock Pavilion, the Dairy Innovation Centre and exhibits showcasing the latest in the dairy, beef, goat and sheep industries. Visitors also explored crop plots from 15 different companies showcasing seed varieties, fertilizers, plant health and crop protection products.

Those looking to network and connect face-to-face with industry and neighbours enjoyed special events at the show such as:

  • the VIP Dairy Producer Brunch
  • Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show Innovations Program, presented by Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), and
  • the new AgTech Breakfast designed to connect AgTech startups with farmers, hosted by Bioenterprise, Desjardins, FCC, Grain Farmers of Ontario and OMAFRA.

“We feel the excitement from farmers when they find something new. They get the opportunity to hear from experts right in the field and bring that innovation back to their own operation,” says Wagner. “We waited a long time to get back in-person again and are very pleased to see the level of enthusiasm from visitors and exhibitors alike.”

Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show is Eastern Canada’s largest outdoor farm show and is located at Discovery Farm Woodstock. More information can be found at outdoorfarmshow.com.
